While those who prefer to stay on dry land will enjoy the many golf courses in the area, biking, tennis, and British Columbia’s second largestwine region.
Patricia Bay is also a short twenty five minute commute from British Columbia’s provincial capital, Victoria. With its elaborate gardens and obvious English influence, it seems natural to sit at the famous Empress Hotel and enjoy afternoon tea. On the other hand the University of Victoria (UVIC) brings a youthful energy to this historical city.
The Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal is a fifteen minute drive from Patricia Bay. The terminal connects passengers to Vancouver (Tsawwassen terminal), and to the Southern Gulf Islands of Saltspring, Mayne, Galliano, Saturna, and Pender Islands. Each of these islands has its own unique charm and would make a great day trip from Patricia Bay. For more information on the area please visit www.sidney.ca or www.northsaanich.ca.
